~ SEPTEMBER 14 – 1/2-WAY TO ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARTY ~
We are having a 1/2-Way to St. Patrick’s Day Party at the Irish Center on Saturday night from 6:00 to 11:00 P.M. Music by The Twangabillies after dinner. Cost is $35 per person, $60 per couple, and $40 at door (No couple price at the door). MUST BE 21 TO ATTEND. Price includes: Appetizers, Dinner Buffet of Shrimp, Baked and BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, and Tossed Salad. Draft Beer, Wine, Soda. (Cash Bar for mixed drinks). ~ SEPTEMBER 15 – WELCOME BACK CEILI-SET DANCE ~
It’s time to dust off those dance shoes and get back to the fun, camaraderie and exercise of ceili and set dancing. A good turnout would make for a great afternoon to get everyone back into the spirit. Time: 2:00 to 5:30 pm. McDermott’s Handy and Friends will again be providing wonderful live music. Admission is $14.00 for members and $15.00 for nonmembers. As always, snacks or desserts to share are most welcome. Our bar will be open to purchase your favorite beverages. ~ SEPTEMBER 18 – BINGO NIGHT IN THE PUB ~
Join us on Wednesday night for another fun evening of Bingo. The door opens at 7:00 P.M. and the games start at 7:15 P.M. We hope you can join us – and bring a friend!
~ OCTOBER 11 – DECORATING THE IRISH CENTER FOR THE FEST ~
We would like all of our decorators to come to the Irish Center on Friday morning at 10:00 A.M. to help setup the Francis J. Pollinger, Sr. Memorial Hall for our FEST to be held on Sunday. Our decorating parties are always fun and the more people who come to help the sooner we will finish.
~ OCTOBER 13 – NCCIS 26th ANNUAL IRISH FEST ~
Our Annual Fest will be held on Sunday afternoon starting at 12:30 P.M. and continue until 6:00 P.M. We will have Mass at 11:30 A.M. Admission: $12.00 for members, $13.00 for non-members, Free for children under 12. Willie Lynch and his Band will perform from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. We will also have an Irish dance program at 4:00 P.M. performed by the McAleer School of Irish Dance dancers.
Plan a visit to ANNIES TEA HOUSE where you can purchase home-made baked goods and a cup of tea or coffee.
We will have Irish Rose as our vendor selling merchandise. Food and snacks will be sold in the kitchen throughout the day and beverages will be available at the Bar.
(Food and beverages cannot be brought into the Irish Center.)
We are asking our members and friends who can donate home-made Irish Breads, Scones and other baked goods to sell in Annie’s Tea House to call Phyllis at 302-354-1356. Volunteers are needed to help in Annie’s Tea House; in the kitchen; at the admission and chance tables; and throughout the Irish Center. If you can volunteer an hour or more of your time please call Phyllis Pini at 302-354-1356 to schedule the time when you wish to help.
Everyone who has attended our FEST in the past has had a good time. It is a major Fundraiser for the NCCIS and a great time for all of our members to show support in their Club by attending and/or volunteering to help at the FEST.
~ OCTOBER 16– UN-DECORATING THE IRISH CENTER AFTER THE FEST ~We would like all of our decorators to come to the Irish Center on Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. to help un-decorate the Francis J. Pollinger, Sr. Memorial Hall and return it to its normal look. The more people who come to help the sooner we will finish and be able to visit the PUB for some socializing
