Events at the Irish Center

          ~ OCTOBER 6 – DECORATING THE IRISH CENTER FOR THE FEST ~
We would like all of our decorators to come to the Irish Center on Friday morning at 10:00 A.M. to help setup the Francis J. Pollinger, Sr. Memorial Hall for our FEST to be held on Sunday. Our decorating parties are always fun and the more people who come to help the sooner we will finish.

~ OCTOBER 8 – NCCIS 24th ANNUAL IRISH FEST ~
Our Annual Fest will be held on Sunday afternoon starting at 12:30 and continue until 6:00 P.M.  We will have Mass at 11:30 A.M. with Father Leonard Kempski officiating.  Admission: $12.00 for members; $13.00 for non-members; Free for children under 12.  Willie Lynch and his Band will perform from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. We will also have an Irish dance program at 4:00 P.M. performed by the McAleer School of Irish Dance dancers.
     Plan a visit to ANNIES TEA HOUSE where you can purchase home-made baked goods and a cup of tea or coffee.   
     We will be selling chances for (1) A grand prize that will be a 32” TV, and (2) A basket of groceries. (Our members are asked to donate non-perishable items, canned goods or gift cards for the grocery basket. You can bring the items to the Pub any Wednesday night starting after September 13.)
     We will have an Irish vendor selling merchandise.  Food and snacks will be sold in the kitchen throughout the day and beverages will be available at the Bar. 
(Food and beverages cannot be brought into the Irish Center.)
    We are asking our members and friends who can donate home-made Irish Breads, Scones and other baked goods to sell in ‘Annie’s Tea House’ to call Phyllis at 302-354-1356. 
     Everyone who has attended our FEST in the past has had a good time. It is a major Fundraiser for the NCCIS and a great time for all of our members to show support in their Club by attending and/or volunteering to help at the FEST. Volunteers are needed to help in ‘Annie’s Tea House’; in the kitchen; at the admission and chance tables; and throughout the Irish Center. If you can volunteer an hour or more of your time please call Phyllis Pini at 302-354-1356 to schedule the time when you wish to help. 

~ OCTOBER 9 – UN-DECORATING THE IRISH CENTER AFTER THE FEST ~
PLEASE NOTE ----- WE HAVE MOVED UNDECORATING THE HALL TO MONDAY AFTERNOON AT 1:00 P.M.  We would like our decorators to come to the Irish Center to help un-decorate the Francis J. Pollinger, Sr. Memorial Hall and return it to its normal look. 

~ OCTOBER 15 – HALLOWEEN CEILI-SET DANCE~
Our Ceili will be held from 2:00 to 5:30 P.M. McDermott’s Handy and Friends will be providing wonderful live music. Admission is $14.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members. As always, snacks or desserts to share are most welcome. Our bar will be open to purchase your favorite beverages. For information, contact Mary Collins at m02bc@aol.com or 302-369-0101. ~ NOVEMBER 12 – BUS TRIP TO THE SANDS CASINO IN BETHLEHEM, PA
WITH BREAKFAST AT THE IRISH CENTER ~
We will have a bus trip to the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA with breakfast at the Irish Center before we leave. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 9:30 A.M. The bus will depart for the Casino at 9:45 A.M and we will leave the Casino at 5:30 P.M. to head home. The trip, including breakfast will cost $30.00. You will receive a $30.00 voucher and a $5.00 food voucher from the Casino. Photo ID or Sands Casino Card is required to get the vouchers. Call Phyllis at 302-354-1356 to reserve your seat. Your seat will be reserved when your payment is received. Reserve your seat early as seating is limited and the bus fills up fast.
