IRISH HERITAGE MONTH - March 2015

Jack Merkell, the Governor of Delaware, declared March "Irish Heritage Month". On March 2, 2015, all of the Irish organizations in Delaware were invited to the Governor's office for the reading and signing of the Proclamation.  Representing  The New Castle County Irish Society were Phyllis White Pini, President; Jim Blackburn, Director; and Bill Hickey, Director.

Ham and Cabbage Dinner, March 17, 2012

What a day!   A packed house, setting up and cleaning up from early morning into late

evening, our frazzled kitchen crew who served long lines nonstop up to the last minute

plus a booming takeout business.  Wonderful food, terrific McAleer dancers, and our

amazing guests who were cheerful and patient throughout.  Salutes to all!
